Headed to New York City? Ask a local! :P As a born and raised New Yorker, I've gathered a lifetime of local knowledge and experiences so consider this blog post a curated list dump of my all-time favorite spots.
Here is my favorite...
☆ Workout class: BodyRok - Meatpacking
A perfect-sized reformer pilates class on the third floor of an old building in one of my favorite neighborhoods- Meatpacking. The instructors are great and the studio is beautifully lit with colored lights.
☆ Free workout: West Side Highway
Run along the walking path and on the piers. Once you're done running, hit the grass and finish it off with a 10 minute ab circuit.
☆ No plan activity: Laying on the grass in Central Park then walking around the Upper West Side
Right under the Gapstow bridge, wowowow.
☆ Museum: The Whitney
The museum stays open late till 10PM Friday nights and that's my favorite time to go ✎ ⋆⑅
☆ Free work space: The Schwarzman Library
The most beautiful and inspiring library with communal work tables.
☆ Matcha: Matchaful
I love the iced Earth Glow matcha.
☆ Nail salon: Akiko Nails
When I do get my nails done, I have a hard time doing simple manicures so I'm always looking for really skilled nail artist and I think this place does the best job.
☆ Sandwich: The Bowery at Orchard Grocer
They also have the best soft serve ever and everything there is vegan! ‧₊˚🍨
☆ Chinese food: Dim Sum Go Go for Dim Sum
Have yet to find a dim sum place better than here. Bonus rec: for a yummy Chinese dinner I love Antidote in Williamsburg.
☆ Spot for drinks outside: Stafilli Wine
Both locations are so nice. Their outdoor is set up on the perfect corners for having Greek wine and people watching at dusk.
☆ Italian restaurant: Gigino in Tribeca
Amaaazing homemade pizza and pasta!! Been coming here since I was little <3
Have fun!
